My Story

Hey there, beautiful mama! I’m Pontsho Pridesworth Tsiane, but you can call me Pontsho. It’s so wonderful to have you here!

I hail from a little town called Welkom, nestled in the heart of South Africa’s Free State province. It’s a place where community thrives, and that sense of togetherness has always been woven into the fabric of my being. Maybe that’s why I’ve always been drawn to the magic of childbirth and the world of children.

Ever since I was young, there was something awe-inspiring about the miracle of birth. The journey a woman takes to bring new life into the world, the strength, the vulnerability – it all fascinated me. And let’s not forget the little ones themselves! Their wide-eyed wonder at the world, their infectious laughter – they fill our lives with such joy.

I’m a Doula, Educator, and

Aspiring Midwife

So, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that becoming a birth and postpartum doula, as well as a childbirth educator, was a dream come true for me. Here, I get to be a part of your incredible story – not just as a witness, but as a guide and a source of support. I get to empower families with knowledge about birth, guide you through those precious first hours with your newborn, and even help you navigate the world of postpartum nutrition and exercises.

My heart bursts with joy when I see the look of pure love on a new parent’s face, the relief that washes over them when they finally get that latch just right, the confidence that blossoms when they realize their incredible strength.

The Journey

My ultimate goal is to become a midwife, to be by your side not just during birth, but throughout your entire pregnancy and postpartum journey. I want to be that person for you, who truly understands your anxieties, celebrates your victories, and advocates for you every step of the way. That’s the kind of midwife I aspire to be – a compassionate caregiver, a knowledgeable guide, and a fierce supporter of mothers everywhere.
